Eligibility


  • Overseas Koreans and non-Koreans who do not speak Korean as their mother tongue

  • Applicants do not need to be UK residents to take the test.

Required Documents for the Application


1. Passport-Style Photo (Image File)


Please upload a passport/ID-style photo of yourself (not a photo of your passport or ID document). 
** Photos that do not meet these requirements may result in disqualification from taking the test.


  • Image file format: jpg/jpeg only

  • Image file size: 200KB, 3.5×4.5 cm or 413 X 531 pixel

  • Photo requirements:
    - Taken within the last 3 months

    - Head size : 3.2~3.6cm

    - Facing the front

    - Plain white background

    - No marks, stamps, or edits


2. A proof of your test fee payment


Please do not submit the test fee before the application period begins.


  • A captured or downloaded payment confirmation screen (image/PDF file)

  • Test Fees: TOPIK I  55.00 / TOPIK II  65.00

▶ Special Exam Arrangements


If you would like to apply for special exam arrangements, you should submit the following documents while completing the TOPIK online application.


  1. Application Form for Special Services for Disabled Applicants (Download
    **Please leave the 'Registration Number' section empty in the form.

  2. Certification of disability from NHS or doctor's written diagnosis provided within the past two years.

Please note :


  • Late applications will not be considered.

  • The special arrangements are not guaranteed as it will be considered by the TOPIK head office under the international TOPIK policy.

 


▶ Cancellation


We will notify you by email and announce on our website if the exam is going to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances/government restrictions, in which case your fee will be fully refunded.


If you cancel your exam due to personal circumstances, 40% of your test fee will be refunded. You will need to cancel and request your refund by submitting the Cancellation and Refund Request Form no later than 4 April 2026 via the following link :

** Please note that

   - all refunds will be issued in the week commencing 20 April 2026.
   - refunds can only be processed to a UK bank account, as we are no longer able to make overseas transfers.


 


▶ Exam process


[On your arrival]


1. Entry
Please aim to arrive at 8:30–9:00 (TOPIK I)/ 11:40–12:10 (TOPIK II) and stay outside of the exam venue until allowed. 


2. ID check
Present your ID (Passport or driver's license) and identification slip.

- Your ID should include your full name, date of birth AND photo.

- Only original ID is accepted. Photocopies are not permitted and may prevent you from taking the test.

- Closer to the exam date, you will receive an email with your registration number, along with a link to the website where you can download your identification slip.



[In the Exam Room]


1. ID Check
Go straight to your exam room following the signs and present your ID and identification slip to the invigilator on your entry to the exam room.


2. Find your seat
Each desk has a label with candidate number and name on it. Find your seat using the candidate number on your identification slip.


3. No electronic device allowed
You cannot possess any type of electronic devices during the exam including mobile phone, ipad, laptop, and smart watches. We will collect them all in the exam room before the exam starts and return them to you after the exam.


4. No food no drink allowed in the room except for water


5. Equipment and stationery
Stationery(a specially designed pen for TOPIK) for the test will be provided. However, you will need to bring your own correction tape (eg.Tipp-Ex).


6. Toilet
Toilets are available, however, you cannot go to the toilet once the exam has started.


7. Exit
You must remain seated in the exam room until the exam is over. If you wish to leave during the exam, you will be asked to sign the consent form in the staff office and your test will be void.


 


▶ Exam Results and Score Report


  • The result will be released on Friday 29 May 2026.

  • You can check your score and print your report from the Official TOPIK Website which can be accessed on a computernot on mobile devices.

  • Please note that we do not send you a printed or digital copy individually.

  • Your score report will be available in digital version only. Printed version is not available unfortunately.

  • You do not need to sign up to check your score. You will only need your date of birth and your registration number which can be found on your identification slip.

  • TOPIK score is valid for two years. Within the valid period, you have unlimited access to your result online at the TOPIK Website.
