2024 Korean Language Courses

 

The Korean Education Centre UK offers quality Korean Language Courses to support Korean language learners in the UK. All our courses are currently delivered ON-LINE using a fully interactive platform.

 

Our courses

• Our Korean courses are held ONLINE LIVE via Zoom.
  
• Course duration
  – There are two separate terms per year.
  – Each term consists of 15 course weeks covering one coursebook
  (Two-hour weekly sessions x 15 weeks = 30 hours per term in total)
• Term dates in 2024
  – Term 1 : 2 March ~ 8 July 2024 (Easter Break : 29 March ~13 April, Half-term Break : 27 May~1 June)
  – Term 2 : 27 August ~ 9 December 2024 (ABC02 : ~10 Dec // K102 : ~13 Dec)
• Registration period:
  – Term 1 : 15 January ~ 4 February 2024 (Closed)
  – Term 2 :  8 July 2024 ~ 4 August 2024 (Closed)
• Eligibility
  – Anyone who is 14-year-old and over (Under 18 requires parental consent for registration.)
  – You do not need to participate in the Term 1 to enroll in the Term 2.

 

Course Fee

• Course fee (per term) : £110
• The fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.
• To be paid by bank transfer only (Payment Guide)

 

Course Levels and books

• Level Pre-1A : King Sejong Institute Korean Introduction (E-book ONLY)
  This course is suitable for beginners who wish to learn from the very beginning and to have a firm base before starting Sejong Korean series. The course will cover the basic Korean language including Hangeul (Korean writing system), phonics, simple vocabulary and easy reading.
• Level 1A : Sejong Korean 1
• Level 1B : Sejong Korean 2
• Level 2A : Sejong Korean 3
• Level 2B : Sejong Korean 4
• Level 3A : Sejong Korean 5
• Level 3B : Sejong Korean 6
• Level 4A : Sejong Korean 7
• Level 4B : Sejong Korean 8

♠ How to find your level 

– Coursebooks : Have a look inside the course books by clicking on the titles. (You will need to sign up to look inside the books.)
– Level Test : We recommend to take a level test before selection of your course level. (You will need to sign up for a level test.) → Online Level Test

♠ Delivery of your coursebook

– Addresses within the UK : Your coursebook(Sejong Korean 1~8) is complimentary and will be delivered to your address in the UK. However, “King Sejong Institute Korean Introduction” is available in e-book format only and cannot be delivered.
– Addresses outside the UK : Sorry, we no longer send our books outside the UK. Please use e-books via the links above.
– Please note that starting in 2025, we will be using the new edition coursebooks exclusively in e-book format. Printed coursebooks will no longer be provided.

 

Enrollment for Term 2, 2024 

• Registration period: 8 July 2024 10:00am ~ 4 August 2024 11:59pm (BST) – Closed
• How to register:
  Step 1 : Check the availability first from the timetable above.
  Step 2 : Pay the course fee by bank transfer.(Payment Guide) Capture/save the confirmation screen as a proof of payment.
  Step 3 : Fill in the online registration form and upload the proof of payment via the online registration link below:

Online Registration Link for the Term 2, 2024

• You will receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes after submitting the form. If you do not receive it, your registration may not have been successful. Please check your spam mailbox or contact us immediately at educenetreuk@gmail.com.
• Your coursebook (Sejong Korean 1-8) will be delivered to you (UK addresses only) before the class commences.

Registration FAQ

• The course registration will be on a first come, first served basis and, therefore, can be closed earlier than the deadline as the places are limited.
• The course of your choice can be cancelled if the number of enrolled students does not reach the minimum required number.
• The class of your initial choice cannot be changed once the course has commenced.
• The fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.
• You do not need to participate in the term 1 to enrol in the term 2.
  

   

Certificate of Completion

• A student with more than 80% overall grade (80% of attendance rate + 20% of test result) will achieve a Certificate of Completion (Digital version only) at the end of each term.
• Please note that test results during the course will be included in your overall grade.
