Invitation to the Special Korean Webinar October 2022
We are delighted to inform you that we have organised a series of special Korean webinar for the students who have been learning Korean language.
The lectures will be given by the Professor J Kiaer from University of Oxford from the 3rd to 7th October 2022 at 6pm via Zoom.
The topic of the lectures would be "Language of K-wave : words and objects in Hallyu". During these talks, we shall discuss the language of the Korean Wave, focusing on Squid Game, Parasite, Kim Jiyoung: Born 1982 and Pachinko. We will discuss the meanings of verbal and non-verbal expressions, as well as looking at the cultural objects found in these works.
Especially, Professor Kiaer will give a special lecture about Hangeul Day on the last day in celebration of its 576th Birthday.
